Wow! Where do I begin? So much has happened in our little family since we have been cut off from the virtual world. The first awesome event that occurred was that we found out we are expecting our third child! Holy Smoley! Are we crazy or what?! Baby number three comes along on July 26 (hopefully not much later!). We are so excited! But feeling somewhat unprepared. We have been painting and decorating the kids rooms in anticipation for the new little one. Skyla gets her own little princess bedroom in purple and pink with a castle on the wall. Duncan will share a room with the baby and his is all painted with dinosaurs on the wall.

Where life has taken us in these last seven months!
In December Skip finally, after the whole two and a half years of being in Regina, got a permanent job. Hip Hip Hooray! We have so been waiting and praying for this as being in and out of only temporary positions had put so much financial strain and worry upon us, especially with all the necessary repairs our forty year old home was needing and having to take out more line of credit in order to pay for things such as this. He is now working for the same company that all his temporary positions were for, at a permanent position as Human Resources Analyst. He absolutely loves it!
Skyla has been carrying on with her ballet. She still loves it. At the end of May she had a recital at the Art Centre here in Regina. She was so excited to go up on the stage with all the big ballerina's and do her thing. And she did such an awesome job. She was all smiles. I was so proud seeing her up there loving what she was doing. She is growing up so fast and becoming such a wonderful little girl!
Duncan has been in the midst of potty training for the last several months and actually doing pretty good now that he has decided that it's actually a good thing to put the pee pee and the pooh pooh in the potty! He still requires me to be pretty on the ball with regular potty breaks but he is getting there. He also finally started sleeping in a big boy bed instead of his crib. It has been a long time coming and I was wondering if he was just going to want to be in there forever. However we are struggling with trying to keep him from continually getting out of bed (literally every minute) and wondering when this is going to all end. At first he did pretty good. Every few nights or so he would spend maybe a half hour getting up and down but now every night it takes him at least a couple of hours getting in and out. We've tried everything! Tonight I actually put him back in the crib and he did not like that and so after a few minutes of crying I took him out and he stayed in his bed. Duncan has also been doing Gymnastics since January and he loves it. He is so athletic and does everything with ease! Just like Skip! We are so proud of our little guy!
Anyway, this is turning into a novel and I am tired so I will sign off for now and continue tomorrow with some pictures and more of what is going on in the Phillips household.
